Signs of New Life!

When the snow first melts away...
and you see the first signs of spring...
it is exhilarating!

Today I have some pictures taken in early April
here in the U.P.

A time when the snow was finally gone and things began to bud...

No matter WHAT time of year, I love finding mushrooms on wood!:

I LOVED the moss together with the mushrooms on this old stump!:

Me likey the lichen!

I loved the rainbow of colors in this bell-shaped mushroom!:

Moss anyone?

It is such fun to watch life come back into the woods.

Now, we are past Spring and already full into summer...I will have more pictures of our U.P. Spring and summer for you coming up...I am slowly catching up in my blogposts!
I hope your weather and summer is providing you with plenty of beauty and opportunities to get out there to marvel at Nature.

We have lots of mushrooms, moss and lichens too during the rainy season. That big mushroom is so unusual, it looks like something. We have many species of mushrooms but none as big as that one!

The colours of the moss and lichen are just calling for an artist to paint them. They are so beautiful.
